Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to celebrate those who mean the most to you. Considering the stores are already packed with red, white & pink, it’s time to get a jump start on gifts for the people who you love! I wanted to start a new series with DIYs perfect for friends, family & your significant other for Valentines’s Day. Follow along with me to see cute options for everyone in your life.
Whether it’s a coworker, your dance floor partner, or your forever bestie, here are some cute DIY ideas to show you favorite gals how much you appreciate them! “Galentine’s Day” is February 13, and is reserved for honoring the special friendships in your life. The origin of Galentine’s Day actually comes from an episode of Parks & Recreation.
- Small basket (plastic, wooden etc.)
- tissue paper
- small, inexpensive keepsakes that represent your friendship
Check your local dollar tree or the Target dollar spot to find a small basket. You might even be able to find a mini mailbox that you could decorate with paint markers or rhinestones! Once you pick out your basket or box, fill it up with fun, smaller-sized gifts. Having trouble deciding what to include in your bestie bag? Think about an inside joke you share. Her favorite animal. A quote she loves. Use these as inspiration to help you fill your basket!
Your bestie is an extension of you, so chances are she’ll love whatever you pick out. Target’s One Spot dollar section has some great gifts for less right now. You can also try Five Below, dollar stores or try searching the checkout aisles for small keepsakes. I found some cute (and affordable) options below. The best part? All of the items shown are under $15!
Have a great week!
