Hi friends! You may remember me discussing the first ever Maker’s fest in my recent blog post. I hope you had a chance to check it out last weekend because it. was. AWESOME. I was stationed at the LBIF booth with my good friends Jeff and Amy. Jeff was giving free clay throwin’ lessons for kids and I painted canvases. It was super fun to meet some new faces & talk about October’s upcoming Canvas & Cocktails class. Makers Fest brought together a large community of artists (some of which I didn’t know about!) It’s amazing how many talented and creative people live in my hometown, and the vendors really outdid themselves. Bunkerfish‘s t-shirts and Adriatic‘s awesome jewelry were my personal favorites. Beach View Farms & the creative team behind Makers Fest did a great job planning the event. They set up a really cool stage area, “resting” tents, and they created an event map so that visitors could easily find each vendor. The festival had an overall vintage, hipster, boho vibe. It was a super inspiring environment and I am so proud to be able to say I was there for the 1st year!
I had my own little table set up with some of my own work. Check it out below:
I’ve recently been using vintage records as my canvas. The vinyl records make super cool wall art that’s easy to hang (just put a pin through the center hole!) I also created two custom sunglasses, donuts and watermelon! Some of these items are still available for sale. You can see them here on my brand new Etsy account! I will periodically add new items, so keep checking back! Have a great weekend!
