I must admit that I am not an avid reader. I am one of those people who only reads books about hobbies or things I enjoy or can educate myself about. Over the past two years, I’ve started a collection of inspirational books. I use these books as references, and to get ideas for new projects! I’ve rounded up my five favorite books (so far!) below..check them out if you need some inspiration yourself!
- A Beautiful Mess Photo Idea Book– Whether you are looking to take photos of your family, want to document a life event or are looking to up your Instagram game, this book provides many original ideas for you to try! This photo idea book provides useful tips on lighting, composition and content.
- LC Celebrate– Lauren Conrad inspires me so much! In her newest book, Celebrate, Lauren gives us her best party hosting advice. She discusses how to prep, plan and execute the perfect Pinterest worthy party. The photographs and design of the book are beautiful as well!
- The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up– Do any of you hoard the things you love only to realize one day that you have wayyy too much stuff? This is me in a nutshell. The author, Marie Kondo, explains how to organize and declutter your life. Any time I pick this book up, it inspires me to purge, clean and organize.
- 100 Ways to Happy Chic Your Life– Johnathan Adler’s style can best be described as colorful and bold. If you are looking for interior design inspiration, flip through this book for ideas! Some of the designs weren’t my style, but it’s interesting to see how it all comes together!
In Progress– Jessica Hische is my all time favorite graphic designer/ hand-lettering artist. Her creativity, design and execution are always on point! Jessica gives you an inside look on how to draw hand lettering and convert it to the computer. It’s a must have for any inspiring (or current) graphic designer!!
